Vathikuchi is an urban social drama set in Chennai, about people living in the outskirts of Chennai who travel to the city using shared autos. Dileepan plays a share auto driver and Anjali plays a tough girl, who frequently travels using these share autos. Anjali is a middle class girl "Meena" who changes her name as "Leena" and roams around in the city malls and coffee shops, pretending as if leading a higher lifestyle than what she actually does. The film details reality vs. pseudo lifestyles in urban settings.
